RCC 4 – Masjid Puffy paint craft
We tried this awesome Puffy paint recip
e using three basic ingredients, everyone has in their kitchens. We used:
- 1/2 cup flour
- slightly less than 1/2 cup water
- 1 tea spoon salt
Thats it!
The key is in mixing well. Add the flour, water and salt and whisk well, so well that it falls as one thread. Continue reading
RCC 3 – Masjid Sun catcher
This is my favorite so far, I used 
- some plastic pony beads
- parchment paper (or any paper)
- tape
- pencil
- tweezer
- a baking sheet
- foil paper
I used opaque beads for the Masjid pattern and used the transparent ones to fill in the rest. Continue reading
RCC Day 2 – Muslim doll finger puppet
The size of the doll is slightly short of 4 inches.
I drew the pattern on paper and then traced it out on felt. I cut a 1 inch felt circle and mark places for eyes and mouth. I used small black beads for eyes (but one can do with googly eyes or just plain black thread) and red thread for mouth. Continue reading
RCC – Calligraphy wall art
I had always found it difficult to do calligraphy. It was not my thing, it was Uzra’s. Nevertheless, I was always inspired by it.
Things we need:
- a white paper
- a blue paper
- dollar store picture frame
- paint & brush or use Sharpie
- glue
15 Days Ramadan Craft Challenge.
With less than three weeks in Ramadan, the fast approaching month is definitely the highlight of our thoughts these days. Some may be wrapping samosas and rolls while others may be working on their spiritual dimension to reap most benefits from this blessed month. I undertook a 15 day Ramadan Craft challenge.

Learning Letters. B
Since this week was letter B, we did some awesome letter B crafts here. And we did crafts for learning the capital and small letter B.
Beaver:
It was easy I just cut all shapes and showed abi how to assemble, we didnt have a beige color construction paper so we substituted it with the tissue-paper we had.
Crafting for letter B
This week had been a letter B week and we did some crafts related to letter B.
Bus:
- some yellow, red and black paper.
- a vinyl sheet,
- hot glue gun,
- a magazine cut out,
- glue,
- cereal box or any thick cardstock,
- scissors.
- White paper or sheet for base.
We choose a magazine picture and pasted it onto cereal box and then cut it and let it dry. Meanwhile, I cut the vinyl sheet and pasted behind the half-circles of B and pasted B together. Continue reading
Meatballs.
It was a lucky accident that I saw this recipe here, I was thrilled to try it out. I read the food-processor as ‘Blender’ instead of a ‘chopper’, and this little misunderstanding created a lot of possibilities for me.
