RCC 4 – Masjid Puffy paint craft

Masjif puffy paint Ramadan craft (16)

We tried this awesome Puffy paint recipmasjif-puffy-paint-ramadan-craft-1.jpge using three basic ingredients, everyone has in their kitchens. We used:

  • 1/2 cup flour
  • slightly less than 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tea spoon salt

Thats it!

The key is in mixing well. Add the flour, water and salt and whisk well, so well that it falls as one thread.

For this project we used, Above ingredients to make the batterMasjif puffy paint Ramadan craft (2) and:

  • card board/foam board
  • paper with the design on
  • pencil
  • scissors
  • paint & brush
  • glitter

I just cut a piece from milk carton 😉

I let the kids mix in the ingredients and put the mixture aside for few minutes, meanwhile i traced and cut my design and pasted it in the card stock using WATER, making sure the paper sticks well.

Then I added paint in the batter and mixed it well again, and then I just spread a thick layer of batter on the stencil I made. let it sit a minute and gently peel off the paper.

You have to take care that the batter is not runny. I microwaved it for 30 sec and then let it cool for 2-3 minutes, then I painted it again with green and applied glitter.

Lastly, I painted the background dark blue. Then I filled a small ziplock with some white batter and used it as a piping bag to make stars and moon. Microwaved again for 10 secs and then used silver glitter to highlight the moon and stars.
