My eldest started sucking her thumb when she was barely days old. Instead of listening to my mom’s advice of using mittens or agreeing to my husband insisting on using a dummy, I relied on Google search and concluded:

· Thumb sucking is normal for infants
· They can self sooth themselves to sleep – avoiding much hassle for mothers
· Most of them break this habit on their own by the time they reach their 3rd birthday
· Dummies are just germ developing site and should be avoided altogether

RCC 5 – Felt doll prayer mat

This is the easiest craft I did so far, Felt doll prayer mat.

The supplies I used:felt prayer mat for dolls DIY (3)

  • green felt sheet
  • Dotted green felt sheet
  • a white felt sheet
  • white thread
  • needle
  • scissors
  • pen & paper

I cut a rectangle from green felt and cut tiny strips from either side to resemble a prayer mat, then I cut a slightly smaller white rectangle and stitched it onto the green using a blanket stitch. Continue reading

Learning Letters. B

Since this week was letter B, we did some awesome letter B crafts here. And we did crafts for learning the capital and small letter B.

Beaver:

It was easy I just cut all shapes and showed abi how to assemble, we didnt have a beige color construction paper so we substituted it with the tissue-paper we had.
